Candlesticks
Controversial, topical, challenging and thought-provoking.
In difficult times for theatre we needed to raise funds to be able to pay actors and creatives properly. Huge thanks go to our generous supporters who made this production possible - Naomi Tsur, Helen McAleer, Alison Oguz, Stuart Stanton, Deborah Edgington, Dorothy Eastop, Kay Adshead, Susan Corby, Holly-Anne White, Morgan Black, MaryAnna Nagorski, Louise Ellman, Catherine Rueben, Alan Silman and Ann Altman.
The Biograph Girl
A joyous musical celebration of Hollywood's glorious era of silent film.
A massive thank you to our sponsors: Tom Eastop, Dorothy Eastop, Warner Brown, Helen McAleer, Gerit Quealy, Alison Oguz, Simon Bolland, Benjamin Garrison, George Ralston, Joy Blakeman and Sam Jenkins-Shaw.
We needed to raise money to do justice to this brilliant piece of theatre, and pay people for their talent and energy. We got an amazing team together and original writer Warner Brown revised the script and score especially for this production. But to make it happen and to reward everyone for their work we needed your help.
Weaving together the heartbreaks and triumphs of the flawed genius director D. W. Griffith and the first movie stars Lilian Gish and Mary Pickford, The Biograph Girl is a love letter to the stardust and scandals of the silent movie era.
