Eight-time Offie nominated Theatre Company
Mercurius was set up in 2012 to create theatre that inspired, from new writing to neglected classics, with a style that was intriguing, exciting and entertaining but never dull.
To date there have been 19 five star reviewed productions, including 3 transfers. These productions have received 8 OffWestEnd (Offie) nominations, been chosen as both London Theatre 1 and Mind The Blog's top ten productions of the year, and been Editor's Choice on several occasions.
In addition for the first time, in 2022/2023, Mercurius was Executive Producer for two films. Black & White Duppy by young British Jamaican writer/director Tom Blackman, a surreal coming of age horror film 'exploring the impact of colonialism on immigrant family history' and Rave by writer/director Emily Macrander, nominated for 14 film festivals, a finalist at the 2022 British Short Film Awards and winner at the 2023 New Renaissance Film Festival of Amsterdam.
